The gravity louvred vent - commonly known as a flap vent - is designed to allow air to be vented to atmosphere,
while stopping cold air and pests entering the system when not in use.
The louvres are specially manufactured in a curved shape to assist in keeping the vent closed if affected by wind or drafts.
Modern rounded edges with mounting holes in each corner.
